Cones are the cheapest crowd-control tool you own, and at an event they’re also a branding surface nobody else is using. The trick is ordering the right heights in the right quantities and putting your logo where people actually look.

Here’s how to plan a custom cone order for an event or festival without over- or under-buying.

How many cones do you need?

Start with the jobs the cones are doing: lane separation, parking rows, queue lines, no-park zones, and stage or vendor boundaries. As a rough starting point, plan one cone every 6–10 feet for a defined lane and one every 3–4 feet where you need a hard visual wall. Most mid-size events land between 50 and 300 cones; add 10% spares for breakage and walk-off.

How to brand them so they read

A logo screen-printed on the cone body works for a quick mark, but for events the highest-impact option is a full-color printed collar that wraps the cone — it turns a piece of safety gear into signage that shows up in every photo. Custom colors help too: a festival in its own palette looks intentional, not borrowed from the highway. For night programming, add a reflective band so cones stay visible after dark.

Plan for setup and teardown

Stackable cones save hours at load-out, and numbering each cone by zone makes it obvious where everything goes back. If you run the same event annually, a branded set pays for itself across seasons — order spares now so next year’s reorder is just a top-up.
